About
Shana Keeler
Shana Keeler started dancing at the age of 7 with Miss Gilmore at Step Ahead in Heald Green and continued performing, exams, competitions and championships until she was 16 years old.
At 16, she joined Preston Dance College and underwent one-year training in Advance 1 RAD ballet and I.S.T.D exams in tap, ballet, modern and national dance.
Shana Keeler auditioned and joined Phil Winston’s Theatre Works College in Blackpool and took a 3-year dance and musical theatre training course, as well as taking advance standard I.D.T.A exams. She demonstrated her modern work to the I.D.T.A examiners while completing her teaching exams.
Shana also found her passion towards teaching and taught dance for her friend in Altrincham for more than 3 years.
Later she decided to start her own dance school to share her skills. Her dream to open her own school has now come true and is amazingly growing.

Principal
Miss Shana
Welcome to my bio, nice to meet you. I'm Miss Shana, people know me as the positive Principal, business owner of Shana Keeler’s School of Dance & Performing Arts. It’s been a magical journey of growth, hardship, struggles, giggles, passion, and much more to be sitting here typing this. I’m the most passionate person about growth, change and stepping into our greatness. The passion I have for our school, students, teachers, and parents is enormous. I want us all to succeed, to believe in ourselves, and to push out of our comforts. I have many qualifications to my name within dance. I have trained to the highest standard, and with the best in the industry, and I still do today. As my journey of knowledge is ever-growing. Training has also led me to retrain in life coaching, mindfulness and business training. As I started SKSD with £50.00 in my back pocket, no laptop and no knowledge just a passion for dance, passion for children and it has led me to today, a team of 11 teachers, 4 office members, incredible students and parents to help achieve the dream of giving our best to these students, rising their vibration and helping them know any dream is possible, if I can do it - so can you and I’m just a normal human, with a story. That story is also my strength of mistakes, failures, and I want to show our team that we need these mistakes, struggles, for the magic to happen. I’m also a little obsessed with learning about the human body, the way we move, the muscles, and how we can adapt our bodies to make our alignment different. I’m currently in the process of learning lots more in this area. I’m excited to take us all on a journey of growth, evolvement, and energy to all rise to our greatest version. I look forward to supporting you all in the magic that is SKSD.

Head of Competitions
Niamh
I’m Niamh, a dance teacher and choreographer from Manchester. My passion for dance began in my early years at my local dance school, where my love for performing and teaching grew week by week. The opportunities I was given from such a young age are ones I will never forget, from performing annually with my team at the Blackpool Winter Gardens, to showcasing new routines on Her Majesty’s stage, to training at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, and performing with the English National Ballet in a project showcased during their Giselle performance. The childhood memories I have from dancing continue to drive me to create the same wholesome experiences for the students I teach today. I then went on to train professionally at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks, graduating in 2021 with a Level 4 Diploma in Ballet and Modern. After graduating, I worked in several performing roles with professional companies, but ultimately felt a little lost. Being on stage is an incredible feeling, but five years on, that feeling doubles when watching the dancers you’ve helped train perform instead. Joining Shana Keeler’s in 2022, I was guided from the very start. My love for teaching truly blossomed and has since led me to leading the competition team at SKSD. Creating lasting memories for the performers at SKSD has filled the void I felt after college - I feel whole again. My proudest achievements have all come through my teaching career. I initially took the SKSD team to the Barbara Sharples Awards with team bonding and experience as the main focus, and we’ve since gone on to win the Entertainment Express title two years in a row. I’ve recently completed my Licentiate Ballet IDTA exam with the help and support of many teachers within SKSD. Our team is truly magical. Everyone brings their own individual talents, expertise, and passion - not only for the students, but for one another. I will forever be grateful to Shana and the team for welcoming me into their studio with open arms. No matter where you are on your journey, SKSD is always there to motivate and believe in you.
